Each year from the beginning of December to the end of February, when the surf is forecasted to go above 20-feet and the conditions are just right, the call goes out to invited surfers to "come home" to Waimea Bay and participate in The Eddie. |

Surfers like Clyde Aikau, Keone Downing, Noah Johnson, Ross Clarke-Jones, Kelly Slater, and Bruce Irons have all tested the bay and returned triumphant. The competition is fierce, but deep in the minds and hearts of each surfer is the spirit of the man they've come to honor. If Eddie Would Go, well then...so they'll follow. |
