Inequality, stolen elections, the horrors of gun violence, and actual government shutdowns have become everyday news in the West.  For over 30+ years now, Ronald Reagan’s “government is the problem” argument, along with inane ideas of a “trickle down” economy while pushing irresponsible tax cuts and loopholes for top income earners have battered the middle class in the United States of America. What does Southeast Asia have to learn from the West and what does the West have to learn from Southeast Asia?  In the U.S., the overlords don’t know how to deal with the permanent underclass they have created except to stop and frisk, ostracize, imprison, kill, or starve its own citizens.  The overreach of the wealthy and the application of deceit and brute force to protect them will reach a predictable denouement.
